St Michael and All Angels at Hall, is a unique, traditional venue for a small country style wedding within the ACT. The church has seating for a maximum of 65 people. The grounds provide a great opportunity for an outdoor wedding, photos or mingling after the ceremony.
St Barnabas at Charnwood is a modern multi-use facility with a light-filled and welcoming worship space. It has seating for 120 and kitchen facilities for light refreshments.
Being an Anglican church we are restricted to use of the Anglican Marriage Rite. We have no particular restrictions on the remarriage of divorced people.
Couples often spend week and months planning and preparing for the wedding day itself. How much time then should be invested in planning and preparing for the marriage? Have you talked about the big issues like having and raising children? Or planned how you might resolve future disagreements?
All couples are welcome to participate in a pre-marriage course to explore these questions and more. You don’t need to be marrying in our church (or any church). All are welcome.
Marriage preparation uses the PREPARE/ENRICH customised couple assessment which helps identify a couple’s strength and growth areas. It is not a compatability test! The questionnaire brings up topics for discussion which you can start even as you are completing it. The course requires approximate one hour commitment online, and two hours for the face to face feedback session. Couples can have as many feedback sessions as they need.
