Baptism
We welcome people of all ages into the sacrament of baptism. Baptism is a rite of identity as a Christian, a rite of membership in the worldwide Christian community and marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith.
Children are baptised because their parents desire to bring them up in the love of Christ and the community of the Church. Adults and young people seek baptism to mark their choice to live a life of faith in Christ.
Preparation for baptism will vary according to the needs and situation of the person/family involved.
We also offer a service of Thanksgiving for a Child for families that may not be ready to make the commitment of baptism but want to give thanks to God for the gift of their child.
All are welcome to make enquiries about baptism no matter where you may be on your faith journey.
Confirmation
Those who have been baptised as infants or at a later stage in their life can be confirmed in the faith they have been brought up in through a special service of blessing and encouragement.
This is an opportunity for young people and adults to mark in a special way, their choice to live a life of faith in Christ and share in the life of the Christian community.
Preparation for confirmation will vary according to the needs, age and situation of the person involved.
